Privacy
This notice covers the TradeAdWatch site. It is written in plain language. It is not a law-firm memo.
What we collect
The newsletter form asks for an email address and remembers which page you used. The sponsor form asks for your name, company, email, and the note you write, plus optional phone, website, tier, and trade.
Both forms include a hidden field meant to catch automated junk. If that field is filled in, we pretend the form worked and we do not keep the submission.
Demo mode
Until BREVO_API_KEY is set, newsletter signups are written to a local file on the server (.data/subscribers.json) and are not sent to Brevo. Sponsor inquiries are saved the same way unless sponsor-email keys are set. On a host with a read-only disk, the form still answers, and it says when nothing was stored.
When Brevo is configured
Newsletter addresses are sent to Brevo and added to the list in BREVO_LIST_ID (list 3 if that variable is empty). The page you signed up from is sent as a SOURCE attribute only when that attribute already exists on the Brevo account. Sponsor inquiries can still be emailed through Resend to SPONSOR_NOTIFY_EMAIL from RESEND_FROM_EMAIL. Brevo’s and Resend’s own privacy terms apply to data they process.
What we don’t do
This codebase does not include an advertising pixel or a third-party analytics script. We do not sell the addresses. Sample ad pages describe fictional companies and are not a directory of real customers.
Asking us to delete a note
Email the address you used on the sponsor form, or send a new inquiry asking to be removed. If the site is still in demo mode, deletion means removing the line from the local file.
